Schloss Fuschl

Schloss Fuschl is currently closed for a big renovation and is due to re-open late 2023

Built before the discovery of America

First used as a hotel in 1954, Schloss Fuschl, whose original structure dates back to 1450, originally served as a rural retreat for Austrian archbishops and high-ranking aristocrats. Throughout its history, the resort has welcomed discerning travelers from around the world – from movie stars to foreign dignitaries.

Schloss Fuschl overlooks Fuschlsee lake, which has appeared in many movies over the years including the opening sequence of the sound of music and also the Austrian classic film about Empress Sisi. The lake views are astounding with the Alps of the Salzkammergut in the distance.
